About Me

Hi! I’m Brittany and thanks for stopping by.

I’m a reader and always been. There’s nothing better than picking up a good book and losing yourself in it for a few hours. I got into reviewing the books I read last year, after starting the 52 Weeks, 52 Books challenge with some of my friends. In 2011, my goal was to read 52 books, and I ended up reading 80. It felt wonderful.

If I’m not reading for fun, I’m working on getting my degrees in English and Business. I’m hoping to break into the publishing world when I graduate. I’m also working on writing my own book, but I’m not sure if it will ever go beyond my close family and friends.

I tend to review the moment I finish a book so I can write whatever I’m feeling in the moment and make it more authentic. I usually over think some things and would never be able to write true reviews if I gave myself too much time to think over the book. That means I usually post every couple days. My goal is to always have at least one post every three to four days.

  1. I write, too, and once a career was added to the plate, it got very hard to find time to both read and write. You seem like an intelligent blogger, and I look forward to more reviews! 🙂

Thank you! I really appreciate that. I’m currently trying to balance everything any find time to read and write. I made a commitment to write for an hour or until I reach 1,000 words a night. After that I get to read. So far I’ve been able to stay on top of everything. I just feel so much better when I can write for a little while.
